The Point Communications Awarded WBENC Certification

Atlanta --The Point Communications, LLC, an Atlanta-based marketing communications/PR writing firm, proudly announces its certification as a Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) by the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). The Point is one of only 10 Georgia marketing consulting services companies with this certification status.

Founded by Janet S. Harrell in 1994, The Point Communications offers professional writing, planning and media relations services. Believing that good writing is the foundation of effective communications, no matter what the media, The Point focuses on providing strategic, yet creative writing for companies of all sizes, in all industries. The Point has extensive expertise in the healthcare/healthcare IT, high-tech and software and workplace diversity industries.

The WBENC is this country's premier third-party certifier for women owned and operated businesses. Created in 1997, WBENC promoted the need for acceptance of a nationally recognized certification standard for Women's Business Enterprises. WBENC utilizes its network of corporations to fulfill a common mission of enhancing opportunities for Certified Women's Business Enterprises with a goal to foster diversity and eliminate barriers for women's businesses throughout the United States. WBE certification is granted to a firm that is at least 51% owned, operated and controlled by a woman/women, and more than 400 major U.S. corporations recognize the certification.

The Point Communications can be retained as a prime contractor or subcontractor where client contracts mandate diversity requirements in purchasing services and can help corporations meet the requirements for government contracts and projects.
